ABOUT US

Hi everyone. We're Rachel and Wills, and we’ve been together forever (well 26 years – man that’s a long time) and we both work in the arts industry. Wills is a sound engineer and sound designer and Rach is a dance teacher and choreographer.  We live in North Wales and if the recent pandemic taught us anything, it is that our favourite days are those spent together and those when we are out and about exploring. So we thought, why not share it with you guys.

HOW WE STARTED

It all started during the lockdown of 2020. We don’t watch a lot of TV, but when we do, our favourite thing is travel programs. During this time, we quickly exhausted the Joanna Lumley's, Chris Tarrant's and your Richard Ayoade's. Jane Macdonald? Tick – seen 'em all.  We couldn’t travel ourselves, so where could we go? YouTube apparently.

To us, YouTube was always a place you went to to find a video of how to fix a problem, or to watch some music videos, who knew it was watched by many people as a TV channel in itself, and that something called a, 'travel vlog' was even a thing.

Despite a fear of even having our photos taken, after watching some of these travel vlogs, we got inspired, we decided to, 'suck it up' and have a go at making some of these videos. Guess what? It turned out that we absolutely loved making them, so decided to commit to posting a video every week. We've been going just over a year now, and are loving it even more. We have met some incredible people on YouTube, many of which we are now proud to be able to call them friends.

All our videos are light hearted and fun, but usually have plenty of information about a place and often snippets of history.

Historic Southampton: A Pre-Cruise Adventure!

Are you boarding a cruise ship from Southampton? Are you in port for the day of a cruise ship in Southampton? Are you just visiting Southampton and want to know some of the best things to do while you're there? If so, then this is the ultimate Pre Cruise adventure where we discover Historic Southampton and take a look around Southampton's beautiful City Walls. So you're going on a cruise ship holiday and are boarding the cruise ship in Southampton, but your embarkation is after mid day, what is there to see and do in Southampton in just a few hours before you board your cruise ship? We went on the P&O Cruises Northern Europe Cruise earlier this year, onboard the stunning P&O Cruises Iona cruise ship and what an incredible time we had, and if you're interested, please check out our P&O Cruises Diary Series of vlogs and our complete, ultimate guide to the P&O Iona cruise ship. Our embarkation time wasn't until 1pm, and as we were staying in Southampton, we didn't know what we could do to pass the time in the morning. We discovered that Southampton is a historic walled city, so we decided to go on a pre cruise adventure and explore the walls of Southampton's walled city. The Southampton City Walls walk didn't take too long. We spent a couple of hours taking in all the sights and sounds of Southampton, getting lovely views of the cruise ships that were at the Southampton Port. Our ship was the P&O Cruises P&O Iona cruise ship, and she looked magnificent, standing proud in the port as we walked this historic city. If you are thinking about what to do before you board your cruise ship in Southampton, or if you're interested in the history of this walled city, then check out this pre cruise adventure vlog as we take you on a fun journey around the city walls, giving just enough fun nuggets of information hopefully without getting too boring. If you are interested in cruise ship vlogs, then check out our P&O Iona cruise ship vlogs and our Marella Explorer cruise ship vlogs and port info and maybe consider subscribing to the channel for a lot more travel and cruise ship content. We hope you enjoy going on our pre cruise adventure from Southampton with us, as always, we sum up the day with a well deserved pint and sum up. This is the first of our, 'What To Do In Southampton Before My Cruise' vlog, hopefully there will be many more over time. We mentioned in our sum up at the end about of our our new Patreon members, Scott Diussa, as well as being a musician, he's a rock music photographer. Bruce Dickinson Mandrake Project Tour Vlog - Manchester Academy UK

Welcome to this Bruce Dickinson Mandrake Project Tour Vlog from Manchester, UK, 19th May 2024. Bruce Dickinson is currently on a worldwide tour promoting his excellent Mandrake Project album, and in this Bruce Dickinson Mandrake Project Tour Vlog, we'll be taking a look at Bruce Dickinson's date at Manchester Academy, UK on May 24th 2024. Bruce Dickinson and the House Band from Hell are touring the Mandrake Project album and in this Bruce Dickinson Tour vlog, we take you to Manchester Academy to get a good look at all things Bruce Dickinson and The Mandrake Project. After a short journey to the Manchester Academy, I take in a quick drink at the lovely, Big Hands Bar in Manchester before joining the large queue of Iron Maiden fans already queuing up the street from the Manchester Academy. Once inside Manchester Academy, we take a look around the facilities of the venue, the bars, the toilets but more importantly, Bruce Dickinson's merch stall. Before much longer, the excellent, Black Smoke Trigger from New Zealand took to the stage. Black Smoke Trigger are Bruce Dickinson's special guests for the tour and were excellent. To me, they had that kind of early Skid Row type vibe. After an excellent set by Bruce Dickinson's special guests, Black Smoke Trigger, Bruce Dickinson and the House Band From Hell took to Manchester Academy's stage, and what a night we were in for. Rachel had decided to stay at home and attend her messy bush, so tonight was Wills flying solo. Bruce Dickinson and the House Band From Hell, consists of Bruce Dickinson (obviously from Iron Maiden if you've been hiding under a rock for 40 years), Tanya O'Callaghan on bass, Dave Moreno on drums, Misteria on keyboards and guitarists, Philip Naslund and Chris Declerq and they were all incredible. I can't get over how good Bruce Dickinson's voice is, and in this Bruce Dickinson Mandrake Project Tour vlog, you'll hear 15 minutes of uninterrupted footage from this amazing gig. #brucedickinson #brucedickinsonmandrakeproject #ironmaiden During the gig, I bumped into a guy that I was talking to and featured on our Iron Maiden tour vlog last year from London's O2 Arena. If you haven't seen it, check it out here. https://youtu.be/YAvh4op7F-g In that Iron Maiden tour vlog, I was chatting to Joey Clarke and funnily enough, after the lights came up after Black Smoke Trigger, I noticed he just happened to be standing next to me. Joey appears again in this Bruce Dickinson tour vlog, and he mentioned that he was doing a charity sky dive in memory of his late God Father. Here is the link to Joey's charity if you wish to donate. https://www.justgiving.com/page/joey-clarke-1713115770851 As always at the end of our vlogs, we do a sum up of the night back at home with a well deserved pint, but did I really enjoy Bruce Dickinson and the House Band From Hell...I think you can probably guess the answer, but do stay to the end of the video to find out our full review of the Mandrake Project gig. We hope you enjoy this Bruce Dickinson Mandrake Project Tour Vlog from Manchester Academy in the UK, and if you do, we would be really grateful if you'd like the video, leave a comment, maybe even subscribe to the channel. 00:00 Introduction 00:21 Arriving In Manchester 00:38 Meeting Bruce 01:30 Back To The Gig 03:09 In To The Venue 04:33 Black Smoke Trigger Thank you for watching this Bruce Dickinson Mandrake Project Tour Vlog and as we always say in Postcard and a Pint - Up The Irons, oh no, sorry, I meant, Cheers To The Good Times x Be sure to hit that notification bell to be notified of future content coming soon! 🔔 ⭐ Check Us Out: ▹Facebook: https://facebook.com/postcardandapint ▹Instagram: https://instagram.com/postcardandapint ▹Website & Blog: https://www.postcardandapint.co.uk ⭐ About Postcard & A Pint: Welcome to the official Postcard & A Pint YouTube channel. Mykonos Cruise Port Guide - What Do Do In Mykonos In A Day In Port

The beautiful Greek island of Mykonos is a popular destination and port stop for many Cruise Ships and Cruise Lines, but what can you do in Mykonos port if you haven't booked an excursion? Let us show you in this cruise port guide video. In this Mykonos What To Do In Port guide vlog, we show you what we got up to on our port day in the beautiful Mykonos Town, and how we did it. One of the Greek Cyclades islands, Mykonos, known as the windy island is a stunning stereotype of everything you could wish for in a Greek island and you can easily do it on your own in a day, without having to pay for an excursion with your cruise ship company. The first question you will probably be asking is, 'How far away from the main town of Mykonos Town does the cruise ship dock?' In this What To Do In Port Mykonos video, we show you exactly how to get from your cruise ship to the town, either by walking, by bus, or by taking a sea bus or sea taxi into the heart of Mykonos Town directly from by where the cruise ship docks. The next question you're probably asking yourself is, 'What can I expect to see in a day or in just a few hours while off the ship?'. Look no further, in this What To Do In Mykonos On A Port Day vlog, we take you around some of the most famous areas of Mykonos Town, explain how to get to them, and also give a few nuggets of history about some of the places you may visit. Did you know that town scenes in the film Shirley Valentine was filmed in Mykonos Town and in this What To Do In Mykonos video, we show you where Shirley Valentine had her Greek Salad. There are many beautiful, must see sights in Mykonos Town, including the famous Mykonos Windmills, the stunning Little Venice area of Mykonos, the very Instagramable Paraportiani Church and we also take some time to relax on the small, but perfectly formed Mykonos Town Beach, where we enjoy the sun whilst watching all of the cruise ships in the distance. Did you know there is a secret beach behind the windmills that hardly any tourists know about? So if you're going on a cruise ship and are visiting the island of Mykonos for the day or even if you're visiting the area and Mykonos is one of your stops on your cruise and you're wondering what you can do in Mykonos in just a few hours and how much of Mykonos Town you can actually see while in port, then this really is the ultimate, What To Do In Port In Mykonos video for you. As always in our travel vlogs, we'll be sampling some of the local drinks and food and this Mykonos vlog is no different. #mykonosgreece #cruiseport #cruiseportguide #mykonos We hope you enjoy this What To Do In Mykonos Port vlog and hope it helps, especially if you're going on a cruise and want to know a bit more about the beautiful Island of Mykonos. You can of course take an excursion from your cruise ship and discover more of the beautiful Greek Island of Mykonos, visiting some of the very famous beaches and sights, but this Mykonos Town Port video concentrates on what you can realistically see and do in one day in Mykonos from your cruise ship. Thank you for watching this Mykonos What To Do In Port from your cruise ship vlog and feel free to check out our other content. We are a travel vlog channel with lots of travel vlogs from the UK and Europe, including many cruise ship vlogs, with cruise lines such as Marella Cruises and P&O Cruises. Should You Visit Rhyl In 2024? The Answer May Surprise You!

Should You Visit Rhyl In 2024? The Answer May Surprise You!

Welcome to this Rhyl vlog, but is Rhyl worth visiting in 2024, especially as it's just been voted the second worst seaside town in the UK this year in the Daily Express? The answer may surprise you!! Rhyl is a seaside town in North Wales and in this Rhyl vlog we ask, Is Rhyl Worth Visiting In 2024 and is it really as bad as the Daily Express says it is? You might be surprised by what we find, especially that Rhyl has previously been given the title of Worst Seaside Town In North Wales. It was a sunny day in North Wales, so we decided to head up the North Wales coast to Rhyl. Although once labelled as, 'The Worst Seaside Town In North Wales' and now, '2nd Worst Seaside Town In The UK', is Rhyl really that bad? Or should we say, is Rhyl Rhyly that bad? Should you take the time to visit Rhyl now in 2024, or is it really as bad as people say? We have other Rhyl North Wales vlogs, including a look around Rhyl, the Rhyl Air show and Rhyl vs Towyn vlogs, but this is the first time we have visited Rhyl in about a year, so we thought we'd see what, if any changes Rhyl has to offer in 2024. We usually start off at the Rhyl Pavilion Theatre end of town, but in this Rhyl vlog, we start off on the other side, near the relatively new harbour and Pont Y Ddraig, or Dragon's Bridge, next to the Horton's Nose nature reserve and near the Rhyl Marine Lake. We took a look at this nature reserve for the first time and were very impressed with the area. After a trip on a steam train on Rhyl's Miniature Railway around the Rhyl Marine Lake, we continued to head up along the prom, taking in the sights and sounds and also checking out and reviewing the fish and chips from The Hungry Tum, who claim to be Rhyl's Best Fish and Chips. Check out the video to see if we agree. During our stroll around Rhyl, we also check out the arcade, the town, the fair, the arena and many more places, ending up with a cheeky shandy at the excellent Kite Surf Café Bar We hope you enjoy this, Is Rhyl Worth Visiting In 2024 vlog and we hope it shows you some things to see and do in Rhyl, North Wales. We also hope that the answer may surprise you. So if you're looking for things to do or see in North Wales, or looking for a Rhyl Vlog or a North Wales vlog, then this is the Rhyl North Wales vlog for you. We personally can't believe that Rhyl has previously been given the title of, 'Wales Worst Seaside Town' and recently been given the title of 'Second Worst Seaside Town In The UK', surly that can't be right. Rhyl has one of the best beaches in North Wales. As always, we finish off the vlog with a sum up and a well deserved pint. Thank you for watching this Rhyl North Wales vlog as we look to see if Rhyl is worth visiting in 2024. Revealing The SECRET - P&O Iona Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger Review

If you have recently been or are recently going onboard the P&O Cruises, P&O Iona, or the P&O Ariva, then you may be aware of the new entertainment experience, Schhh by Nicole Sherzinger. Apart from a few official promotional videos from P&O, there isn't a huge amount of information about Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger, and in the P&O Horizon publication, the Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger is advertised as, Schhh The Biggest Nightclub Experience At Sea - Can You Keep A Secret? On the P&O website, it quotes, "Schhh is a multisensory experience unlike anything you've seen on a P&O Cruises holiday" Well, we're not very good at keeping secrets, and we want to share with you exactly what the Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger Experience is onboard the P&O Cruises P&O Iona and P&O Ariva actually is and what you can expect in our full and honest review. Like many people, we were very excited to see this Schhh by Nicole Scherzing when we were on a recent P&O Iona holiday, but we had no idea if it was actually taking place the week we were onboard the Iona, there was also very little talk or information about it on the ship itself. The Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger Experience takes place in the P&O Iona Skydome. The Skydome on the P&O Iona by day is the venue of the indoor pool, many bars and many food outlets, such as Taste 360 (for more information about this venue and the P&O Iona, be sure to check out our other P&O Iona vlogs). By night, the Skydome turns into a great performance space onboard the P&O Iona, and hosts fantastic aerial shows, such as, Rise, Spark and Triboo. It also hosts guest artists such as Charley Blue, who was excellent when we were on the P&O Iona. So what is Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger? Is it a show? What does, 'Experience At Sea' actually mean? Without giving it all away here, you should watch this vlog as we reveal the Greatest Secret At Sea and explain exactly what the P&O Iona Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger actually is and what we thought of it in our review. We also discovered before we went onboard the P&O Iona that there was a, 'Schhh Signature Cocktail' to accompany the Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger Experience, so we were excited to try that too....but what did we think of the Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger cocktail? Watch this vlog to find out. We would be really interested to hear your thoughts on this P&O Iona Schhh by Nicole Scherzinger review. Have you witness the experience, did you know what it was before you went, what did you think of it? We hope you enjoy this P&O Cruises, P&O Iona vlog. Has Hollywood Saved Wrexham? Boarded Up Or Rising From The Ashes?

Has Hollywood Saved Wrexham? Boarded Up Or Rising From The Ashes?

Today we asked the question, Has Hollywood Saved Wrexham? Let us take a look and find out, but first, Welcome to Wrexham. Unless you live under a rock, you probably know that Hollywood A Listers, Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney took over the running of Wrexham AFC a few years ago and the Wrexham AFC football team have been doing rather well to say the least. Wrexham is the largest town, now city, in North Wales, full of Welsh charm and historical treasures, but sadly, Wrexham, like many towns and cities in our now, 'Boarded Up Britain'. the town, sorry, city has seen better days. In the 1980s, Wrexham was thriving, with shops of all flavours, and streets packed with weekly shoppers. Sadly times have changed, due to out of town retailers, online shopping and the general cost of living and many of the shops and outlets are no longer occupied, making it a bit of a boarded up town, sorry, city. Despite today's boarded up trend, it actually looks like Wrexham may be rising from the ashes, but is this due to the Hollywood effect of Rob and Ryan and their TV series, Welcome To Wrexham? Chances are it probably is, but that can only be a good thing. In this Wrexham vlog, we take a look round the town, sorry, city of Wrexham, comparing it to the last few times we've visited, and we take a look at the state of the town, sorry, city and look to see if there have been any improvements in Wrexham since Wrexham AFC, Welcome To Wrexham and Ryan Reynolds and Rob McElhenney to the world by storm. Just in case you don't know, Rob and Ryan's Welcome To Wrexham is an FX / Disney Plus documentary series, following the progress of Wrexham AFC since the two Hollywood stars took over the running of the club. In this video, we visit many of Wrexham's famous and not so famous land marks, have a look around the Wrexham AFC Shop at the Stok Racecourse ground, head over to the Turf Hotel, we also also drop in to the Wrexham Lager shop and have a chat with a very nice chap. We also went in search of the now infamous sketch of Rob McElhenney, recently rescued from the wreckage of the Titanic, whilst searching for Wrexham Lager. We found it, and it is now taking pride of place in Wrexham's creative hub, Ty Pawb. Talking of artwork, we couldn't be in Wrexham without checking out all of the football related artwork that is now all over town. We visited the Welcome To Wrexham house on Crispin Lane, we took a look at the Paul Mullin mural on the side of Wrexham's Fat Boar, as well as visiting the new Phil Parkinson painting on the gate of The Turf Hotel, now one of the most famous pubs in Wales. Our conclusion was, that Wrexham is on the up again, with new bars, restaurants and independent retailers popping up all the time. Is this due to the popularity of Rob and Ryan's Welcome To Wrexham? It probably is, but who cares. All that matters is that Wrexham is building it'self back up to be the thriving town, sorry, city, it once was. We hope you enjoy our look around Wrexham in this Wrexham, North Wales vlog. If you did, we would be very grateful if you would consider subscribing to the channel for lots more content like this. As always, we sum up the day at the end of the video with a well deserved drink, this week, with a pint of Wrexham Lager, bought from the Wrexham Lager Brewery Shop. Enid Blyton Trail, Dorset - Walking In The Footsteps of Enid Blyton

Welcome to this Enid Blyton Trail vlog where we go walking in Enid Blyton's Footsteps. Enid Blyton wrote hundreds of books for kids, but some of the most famous, included The Famous Five, The Secret Seven and Noddy. In the beautiful English county of Dorset, there is a beautiful Enid Blyton Trail that you can follow to see many of the locations that inspired Enid Blyton to write about in her books. We were kindly given permission by Visit Dorset to use their Enid Blyton Trail map, and in this Enid Blyton vlog, we visit all of the locations on the Enid Blyton Trail map. Places on the Enid Blyton Trail map include, Corfe Castle, which was the inspiration for Kirrin Castle from the Famous Five books. Other places include, Swanage, Stair Hole, Kimmeridge, The Blue Pool, Stoborough Heath, The Isle of Purback Golf Club, Studland and Brownsea Island. These were all places that were dear to Enid Blyton and she would use them as inspiration for locations in her books. Make sure you grab your lashings of ginger beer, pack up a picnic, and follow us around The Isle Of Purbeck and surrounding areas in Dorset, as we literally walk in the footsteps of Enid Blyton. This Enid Blyton Trail was part of our recent short stay in Dorset, where we stayed in a beautiful shepherd's hut in the woods at the foot of Corfe Castle, or should we say, Kirrin Castle. Be sure to check out our full Dorset adventure as we visit many places and not just the places on the Enid Blyton Trail map. We truly loved this adventure, walking in the footsteps of Enid Blyton, and we hope you've enjoyed visiting these locations with us. P&O Iona Limelight Club - Was It Worth The Money???

We visited the P&O Iona Limelight Club recently, but was it worth the money or was it a waste of time? In this P&O Iona Limelight Club review vlog, we take a look at the Limelight Club onboard the P&O Iona, we review the food and we give an overview of the evening. #p&oiona #pandoiona #limelightclub The Limelight Club on the P&O Iona is an adults only, exclusive dining and show experience. The evening consists of a well known performer while you enjoy an exclusive three course meal, but is it actually worth the money? In this P&O Iona Limelight Club vlog, we take you step by step through the evening and give you a full, honest review on the food, the act and the value for money. The price of the Limelight Club depends on which act is on. We saw the brilliant Debra Stephenson, a British Comedy Impressionist. We paid £20 each for the evening, the entertainment and the three course meal. We loved Debra Stephenson's act in the Limelight Club, but did we love the food and the over all atmosphere? Be sure to watch to the end to fond out. If you like this video, you may be interested in our other P&O Cruises P&O Iona vlogs.
